Job description

The busy Research and Innovation Department at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is looking to recruit a Clinical Trial Coordinator in the Oncology Research department, to provide comprehensive administrative support in the management and oversight of an ever-growing portfolio of research studies.
We are looking for someone with excellent administrative and computer skills with a good attention to detail. You do not need to have a background in research administration, although this would be an advantage. You will have a good knowledge of Microsoft packages and experience with databases is essential for the role.
On the job training is provided with ongoing day to day support as needed. You will provide administrative support to research staff including setting up trial documents, liaising with Trust staff across a wide range of departments, organising diaries, liaising with research companies and archiving trial documentation. You will work with staff at all levels, be able to work as part of a team and autonomously. This role is based at Maidstone Hospital, although travel across sites may be required at times.
The role would suit an experienced administrator/coordinator who would like to take on a venture into research.

To ensure the smooth set up and day to day running of Clinical Trials by assisting the research team with all aspects of trial administration.
To support research teams to ensure the efficient and successful delivery of Clinical Trials and other studies according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), Trust policies and all applicable regulations and governance
To provide administrative support to research teams including setting up and maintaining trial documentation, providing support with data input, organising staff diaries, liaising with trust staff and study sponsors.
To work with the research team to ensure prompt resolution of data queries.
To provide oversight of study progress and support the coordination of successful completion.
