Job Title: Clinical Trials Administrator

Location: Harrop House, Bury New Road, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 3BL

Hours: 37.5 Hours

Trust Location: Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust

What you’ll be responsible for:

· To respond to all incoming telephone enquiries. Exercise judgement when dealing with all enquires. Assess and manage the query and refer on to the appropriate member of staff if required.

· Ensure that all study documentation is completed, maintained, and updated regularly. This may include randomisation and participant information, supplies of patient information sheets, consent forms and other study materials required for research liaison and assessments.

· To provide administrative support to clinical research practitioners across all clinical studies. This is to include sending out appointment letters, making reminder phone calls/ texts, data entry for therapy information. Creating and maintain study files.

· Ensure that all study documentation is completed, maintained, and updated regularly. This may include randomisation and participant information, supplies of patient information sheets, consent forms and other study materials required for research liaison and assessments.

· Develop and manage electronic information systems to track research participant randomisations if relevant.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· The ability to prioritise and plan conflicting, and complex work demands.

· An excellent telephone Manner.

· Keyboard skills and computer literacy, including the ability to use databases and spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software (namely Microsoft Office), and file management.

· Ability to provide day to day supervision of administrative procedures including having in-depth knowledge of research admin procedures, recognising irregularities, and addressing these clearly through effective communication with a range of staff within the unit.

· Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with staff and the public.

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
