We are currently recruiting for a Clothing and Equipment to work for Dorset Police at their headquarters in Winfrith Dorchester.
You will be working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm 37 hours a week.
Job Purpose is to Provide services in support of uniforms and personal issue equipment to officers and staff. This will include:
- Ordering, receipt and onward distribution of uniform, specialist equipment and body armour
- Sorting and disposal of old uniform
- Distribution of new recruit self-measuring forms and collation of returned forms
- Booking rooms for fittings and assisting on fitting days and arranging of exchanges
- Safekeeping of Force Sizing kits
- Contribute information and attend Clothing and Equipment user group as necessary
- Update of personal equipment checklists
- Issue uniform on Agresso
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Receipt and onward distribution of uniform and body armour to officers and staff via Administrative Hubs in Dorset
Order of uniform and personal issue equipment on Agresso, goods receipting and approving invoices for payment
- Assist the Clothing and Equipment Specialist in the measuring and ordering of body armour.
- Update entitlements to uniform on Force intranet
- Maintain spreadsheet detailing when body armour was issued to ensure all officers receive replacements at the end of the warranty period
- Problem solve officers reporting they are unable to wear standard items for medical reasons
- Consolidate master equipment checklist from details obtained on Myself
- Deal with return and disposal of uniform / body armour / personal issue equipment as necessary in line with Force policy
- Assist Clothing and Equipment Specialist with the forecasting of future requirement
Essential Criteria
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to customer service
Demonstrable good administrative skills together with evidence of a previous record of high standards of accuracy in a financial environment
- Ability to organise own time and to plan and carry out activities in an orderly and structured way
Must be able to evidence an ability to prioritise and organise own workloads, and ensure deadlines are met.
Able to evidence good computer skills, and experience in using software packages including spreadsheets and word processing
High level of integrity - able to evidence previous position/s of trust and responsibility
