We are recruiting for a Cloud Architect to join our Architecture Team in our Hereford Head Office. You will join the team responsible for shaping the direction of our Cloud-first strategy and providing governance over its implementation.
The successful candidate will have a good, hands-on understanding of Cloud Architectures and patterns, experience of Agile software delivery and DevOps, with a key focus on public cloud PaaS and cloud-based applications.
Within this role you will:
- Work as part of the Architecture team to define the Cloud standards, processes and governance procedures and overall platform technical direction
- Operate as a Subject Matter Expert for Delivery and Operational teams, supporting in the introduction of new Cloud technologies and capabilities
- Identify where new cloud approaches and techniques could be applied to the existing platforms and delivery approaches
- Produce high- and low-level technical designs and work closely with delivery teams to see the designs through to implementation
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally need:
- Demonstrable background in defining, designing and delivering cloud first strategies and solutions
- Knowledge and experience of cloud well architected frameworks and adoption principles
- Azure certified solution architect accreditation (or similar certification on an equivalent public cloud platform)
- An automation mindset with a good understanding of DevOps tools and practices
- A good understanding of Infrastructure as Code and Software Defined Networking
