We are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer to support a Cloud (Azure) migration on a 9-month fixed term (salary basis) for an organisation based in Farnborough which is going through a period of growth, change and transformation. This is a hybrid role based in the office two days a week.
The organisation is going through a period of change and looking to migrate and consolidate multiple Microsoft 365 Tenants and subscriptions to a new single Microsoft 365 Tenant. This will be a hybrid solution with on-prem.
The roleYou'll be joining a well-established and diverse organisation and team who are specialists in their field, backed by a strong track record of delivering excellent service to their customers. You'll be joining a passionate and experienced team reporting to the Head of Infrastructure working closely with the existing IT Support and Senior Infrastructure Engineers and wider business, across the Group.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience with design and Cloud migration. However, if you've not got any direct design experience but are aware of design processes and have been part of a similar Cloud migration, we'd still welcome a conversation with you.
As the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of a team who will lead the design and implementation of the Microsoft 365 Tenant migration across the UK business. Working with the current Infrastructure Team to document the solution and working alongside the assigned project team across 3 areas of the European business to ensure the migration is completed to business requirements in time and to a high standard.
You will have:
As the Infrastructure Engineer, you will have strong knowledge of Azure with expertise relating to the design and migration of Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Power Bi, Azure (including AVD) and InTune experience.
You will be able to demonstrate your expertise relating to management tools, techniques, monitoring and integration, as well as on premise server infrastructure and networking.
You will also have experience with configuration management, identity and access management, active directory, desktop virtualisation, collaboration platforms and other cloud-based services.
In addition, you'll be able to organise and prioritise work packages, effectively address projects, requests and other competing priorities to ensure workstreams are delivered to a high standard.
Desirable Experience (not essential but beneficial):
- Microsoft certifications: (AZ-305, AZ - 500, AZ - 204, AZ - 800/801)
- Experience in AWS Cloud services would be nice to have.
You will be process driven and strive to improve existing and create new processes to assist with the organisation becoming leaner. You will be customer-centric, with excellent communication skills and able to build relationships across the Group with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
