This multi academy trust is going to be experiencing huge growth over the coming years and therefore have approached Hays looking to recruit a number of IT positions to join their team on a permanent basis. These roles will report into the Head of IT who is tasked with developing and implementing the IT infrastructure across all sites, which will end up being over 50 sites in the Greater Manchester area. Your new role
Reporting into the Head of IT, the Cloud Migration Engineer will be responsible for facilitating the migration of all sites to Microsoft 365, including devices, data and identities, also acting as the main point of contact for each site regarding the timescales for migration, as well as the around the launch date. As the Cloud Migration Engineer, you will be responsible for leading this migration whic ch will involve defining and documenting the project plan, taking ownership on the procurement and sourcing of the required products and liaising with external and internal stakeholders. During the migration window, you will be the central point of contact for all schools, providing regular updates to key stakeholders around timescales, providing training and guidance and handing over to the in house IT support teams.
What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess a strong knowledge of the M365 suite of services and have experience of completing a migration in a previous role. Key knowledge required is InTune, Autopilot, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online and SharePont Online which will be essential to successfully complete the migration. Experience liaising with key stakeholders both internally in an organisation, as well as with external vendors is key, also possessing excellent communiction skills. A Microsoft 365 or Azure certification would also be highly beneficial, as well as experience working in the education sector.
What you\'ll get in return
In return, you will be paid a competitve salary of between £35,000 and £45,000 dependant on experience and you will be joining a thriving organisation at the beginning of a growth journey which will provide you with further development and additional career opportunities. You will receive holidays of 28 plus bank, rising to 33 after 5 years service, as well as receiving plenty of additional training and ongoing support.
