Cloud Operations Engineer

Cloud Operations Engineer - 6 - month contract

My customer requires an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to join an existing team for an initial 6-month engagement.

This Cloud Operations Engineer will be responsible for managing and leading the operation of Cloud Infrastructure (Azure). You are required to have strong understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and act as a SME for cloud infrastructure specifically in Azure.

The Cloud Operations Engineer would have experience developing and maintaining Azure Landing Zones and have experience collaborating to define cloud infrastructure roadmaps.

Primary day to day responsibilities for the Cloud Operations Engineer will include:

* Experienced Cloud Operations Engineer
* Strong experience and understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
* Strong experience and understanding of Platform as a Service (PaaS)
* Strong Microsoft Azure experience - Azure Landing Zones, Azure Cloud services, data platform services.
* Landing Zone Architecture
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform, Cloud Formation
* Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
* Scripting capabilities: PowerShell, Python
* Cloud Security: IAM, NIST
* Any experience with Cloud Networking with be advantageous: Vnet, Subnets, VPNs
* DevOps capabilities: integrating operations and development workflows for more streamline deployments.

The Cloud Operations Engineer would be required to travel to Worthing on an ad hoc basis.
