Cloud Security Engineer (Azure)

We are currently recruiting for an Azure Cloud Security Engineer to join our Azure Landing Zone team.

 

What You’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with cloud platform engineers, solution, and security architects to input into solution and design requirements.
  • Implement security solutions and controls against business requirements, with a focus on securing our platforms through automation, shift-left and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Own assigned security assurance standards, policies, and tooling.
  • Mitigate / correct security deficiencies identified during security/certification testing.
  • Contribute towards any relevant Security Risk Assessments
  • Performing analysis and troubleshooting of any escalated complex issues.
  • Working closely with our service delivery teams to further develop new Cloud Security services.
  • Working closely with the wider Security Engineering team to support other internal security initiatives.

 

Who you are, and what you will bring:

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will need as much demonstrable knowledge and experience in as many of the following areas as possible.

  • Networking design and operations, ideally in the cloud
  • Cloud Security Engineering and / or architecture
  • Using CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GIT, Azure Dev Ops
  • Development languages such as Python, Terraform, Bash
  • Knowledge and experience of utilising Azure security services
  • Stakeholder management, and great customer facing skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision and to integrate well within a team.
  • Agile development and operations using SAFe, scrum or a similar method.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate with both IT and business-facing colleagues.
  • Experience of working with Security Ops, compliance, risk, and governance practices
  • Previous experience working for an MSSP would be considered a plus
