CMM INSPECTOR
Salary: Circa £15 per hour

What does the role involve?
EMBS Engineering is partnered with a leading precision engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of detailed, precision components that are predominantly supplied into highly regulated industry sectors - aerospace and defence.
Due to an internal promotion and people development, our client is now seeking a CMM Inspector to join the business on a permanent basis.

Regarding the role, you will be carrying out inspections of precision machined components using manual measuring equipment and CMM Machines, therefore, it is essential you will have come from a precision engineering / advanced manufacturing background.
You will be required to set and operate CMMs to ensure accurate measurements are taken and then complete associated inspection reports.
Other elements of the role will include FAIRs and NCR's.
What experience do you need?
- Strong background in Quality Inspection / Metrology / CMM
- Previously inspected machined components for high profile industries such as; Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Petrochemical etc.
- Ability to operate CMMs and/or Faro Arms - PC-Dimis/Camio or similar would be advantageous
- Ability to interpret CMM reports
- Experience setting and/or programming would be advantageous but not essential
- Ability to self-inspect parts using manual measuring equipment - micrometers, verniers, calipers, gauges etc.
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Knowledge of performing first-off, stage and final inspection
- Worked on small to medium-sized, precision-machined components

- Days - Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm, Friday 7am - 12pm
- Overtime available at premium rates - x1/2 and x2
