SalaryRomax are currently looking for a CNC Lathe Machine Operator on behalf of our client based in Loughton, IG10.
Shifts:
- Monday to Thursday 22:00-07:30am
- Night Shift
- £15 - £20 Per Hour (Deoending on experience)
Description:
- To set CNC lathes with FANUC control is preferred, but training can be provided if the candidate has knowledge of operating CNC sliding head lathes.
- A background knowledge of Fixed head lathes would be advantageous but not essential.
- To programme from technical drawing, ensuring parts are within set cycle times.
- To check components to technical drawings using inspection equipment, adjust offsets and edit programmes.
- Self-inspection of components and to perform "buddy" checks for first offs, check parts during machine run and perform final inspections.
- To ensure working areas are clean, tidy and to conform with health and safety risk assessment.
- To be able to work overtime as required during busy periods.
Requirements:
- Experience in working in a CNC workshop environment.
- Programming knowledge of Fanuc controls, but training can be provided to the right candidate.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good investigative and problem-solving skills that to be utilised constantly.
- Knowledge of statistical packages and Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Workday would be advantageous
