Job Title: CNC Machine Programmer/Setter/Operator
Job Purpose:
Programmer/setter/operator, to programme, set and operate CNC Machines.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.50-£13.50 per hour
Mon-Thurs 7:00am - 4.00pm, Friday 7:00am to 12:00pm overtime available
25 days Holidays + 8 Bank holidays per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience programming, setting and operating a CNC lathes and Millers
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, taking notice of specific tolerances and procedures to enable programming, setting and then manufacture.
- Must be able to quantify their own work using a variety of measuring equipment,
- Must follow company procedures, documenting tooling, set ups and machine parameters to achieve repeatable results by self or others.
- Flexible working attitude, where, when required.
- To ensure all health and safety systems are adhered to and any issued PPE is worn as and when required.
- To maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working area at all times.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/training/groups, to stay current within your role, looking to innovate always.
- Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
- In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the business as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive, and beneficial relationships.

- Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience with working with CNC machine tools
- Engineering apprenticeship
- Safety focused attitude
- Forklift truck license advantageous but not essential
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Prescot L34: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- English, Maths and Science GCSE A-C grade or equivalent.
