Cnc Machine Tool Operative

Our client is a leading manufacturing company specializing in the production of high-quality precision components for various industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machine Tool Operative to join their team.

Shift/salary:

• 37 hours over 4 nights per week
• Working Monday to Thursday
• £46,000 salary
• Permanent role

The role:

• Operating Fanuc equipment
• Operating inspection equipment
• Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and work orders
• Load raw materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment
• Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or deviations from the desired specifications
• Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to ensure accurate production
• Inspect finished components for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their optimal performance
• Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any production issues
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area

The candidate:

The operator needs to work within the requirements of the ISO9001 and ISO3834 Quality System and will carry out all work in accordance with Operating Procedures, Technical Standards, Working Methods, and Engineering Policies set by the Production Manager.

• Machining apprenticeship
• Be able to Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Have Experience in Setting & Operating CNC Milling Machines.
• Required to optimise machines being used, running all cutting tools at correct feeds & speeds.
• Ideally understand Fanuc software.
• Have Experience in the use of inspection equipment.
• Maintain good working relationships with others.
• Maintain a good approach to health and safety within work.
• Training available to anyone that demonstrates good attitude.
• Ensure that high standards of housekeeping are attained and sustained.
• Responsible for maintaining high standards of Health and Safety and maintaining any PPE/RPE which has been issued by supervision.
• Required to undergo training to improve capability and productivity as and when requested by the Company.
