Contract Details:

Contract Length: 6 months, Possible Extensions/Permanency

Working Pattern: Full Time, 6-1.30 and 1-9 rotating weekly

Hourly rate From: £21.48

About Our Client:

Adecco are recruiting to work on site with our client Collins, Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a leading organisation in the Aerospace industry, is seeking skilled Machinists to join their dynamic team in Wolverhampton. As part of their Military Machining Module, you will have the chance to work on exciting projects and contribute to the manufacturing of Aerospace components.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including CNC Lathes, CNC Mill/Turn, CNC 3, 4, and 5-axis Milling, CNC External, Internal & Surface Grinders


• Ensure materials, process layout, and drawings are at the correct issue


• Evaluate manufactured features for compliance with requirements and report any non-conformance's


• Implement "Best Practise" manufacturing methods to maximise efficiencies and reduce costs


• Maintain stock control systems and equipment usage


• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in Lean Events and Workshops


• Adhere to EH&S procedures and ensure a safe work environment


• Transport materials, tools, equipment, and work-in-progress within the manufacturing cells

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• CNC setting and operating skills in a precision engineering environment


• Apprentice trained NVQ Level 3 or equivalent


• Experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Studer controls


• Proficiency in using a variety of CNC machines


• Strong attention to detail


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• Experience in a New Product Introduction environment
