Maintenance Engineer (multi-skilled)
The Role
Are you a CNC Machinist that’s looking to progress into a maintenance Engineer role? Are you keen to join a company that will provide you with the support and training necessary to progress In the CNC industry?
We are currently offering an opportunity for the position of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias. You will be servicing, fault finding, repairing and improving on a wide range of production equipment including CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines. Our client is a global leader in precision manufacturing, specializing in producing high-quality bearings for the aerospace industry.
For this position our client would consider a junior Maintenance Engineer, fully qualified Engineer or a CNC Machinist who holds experience handling breakdowns on CNC machinery.
Role requirements
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance in accordance with schedules
- Resolve breakdowns
- Fault find to the cause of failures
- Source and purchase spares
- Carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
- Test & inspect electrical installations
Skills, qualifications & experience
- Apprentices trained and have a range of industry recognized qualifications such as: City & Guilds, NVQ’s , BTEC, HNC, HND etc.
- Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment
- Understand good maintenance and engineering practices
- Be flexible to work overtime and support a small team
- Electrical knowledge
- Mechatronics knowledge
- Understanding of schematics
- 3 phase work, motors, invertors, drives.
The candidate
Multi-skilled – electrical
- Preferably hold a minimum of NVQ3 or equivalent
- Understand good maintenance and engineering practices
- Good understanding of Preventative Maintenance principles/methodologies
(junior) background
- Experience with maintenance
- Machining experience
- Understanding of electrical, passion to learn it
Shifts & Salary
Up to £30k - £37k + 17.5% shift allowance = £35,250 - £44,650
Early’s - 6 am – 2 pm Mon- Thurs, Friday 6 am – 11.30 am
Lates - 2 pm – 10 am Mon- Thurs, Friday 11.30 am – 5 pm
Junior level
- Starts on circa £30k on days
- When trained go on shifts (as above) £30k + 17.5 shift allowance = £35,250
- Opportunity then to develop and increase of salary
