CNC Mechanical Machinist – Derby
 
Our client, a leader in Marine Defence, are now looking for a CNC Mechanical Machinist to support with their site based at Devonport Dockyard.
 
About the role
The ideal candidate will display the following characteristics:

• You will have an excellent attitude towards Health & Safety and good working practice.
• You will be flexible to variable work patterns and have a forward-thinking commercial attitude.
• You will understand and demonstrate the necessity for excellent customer care.
• You will have the ability to work to fine tolerances (imperial & metric measurements) and use appropriate measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres).
• You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• You will have experience of working within an engineering environment.

 
What you will need:
Ideally you will have skills and experience covering the below:

• Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent
• Experienced with programming and operation of CNC multi axis turning centres.
• Experience of one or more of the following CNC controls - Siemens and/or Mazak.
