Based in Huddersfield our client pride Themselves on being able to manufacture any type of gears including helical gears, spur gears, worm gears, bevel gears, etc. Their extensive CNC machine shop means They can turn, mill, drill components large and small, 1 off's or batch work and are able to produce every single component that goes into any industrial gearbox repair."
Job description
The role of CNC Miller, setter operator will include the following duties:
⦁ Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
⦁ Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
⦁ Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and work holding devices
⦁ Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
⦁ Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality
⦁ Inspect finished products for accuracy
⦁ Preferable but not essential able to work Mazak for turning
⦁ Predominantly will be working between the two following machines:
SCHARMANN TWIN PALLET HORIZONTAL & DEPO 1212 - Heidenhein
MACHINING CENTER HEIDENHAIN TNC 530 CONTROL
⦁ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance or product quality
The ideal candidate will have:
⦁ Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
⦁ Proficient in welding techniques and able to perform basic math calculations
⦁ Familiarity with tooling, power tools, and hand tools used in machining operations
⦁ Ability to assemble components using various techniques such as welding or fastening
⦁ Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software for reading and interpreting technical drawings
⦁ Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
