We now have a vacancy for a permanent Miller/Turner at our Malvern facility.

The role: The CNC Miller/Turner will operate CNC Turning/Milling machine tools to produce component parts to drawing and process requirements.

The successful applicant will assist in the manufacturing of parts through the production process, ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved; and high quality parts produced within required performance, cost and delivery targets.

This role is based at our Malvern Facility (Spring Lane South, Malvern, Worcestershire. WP14 1AT)

Responsibilities:

Involvement and attendance at SQDCP meetings in assigned area/s

Ensuring performance of part production to planned set and run times and Quality requirements

Communicating Not right first time (NRFT) within assigned areas

Recording and assisting the Manufacturing Group Leader in improving the 5S organisation of the assigned Team areas and personal responsibility of machines being operated

Responsible for attending and participating in progress meetings as required

Responsible for ensuring correct materials, Route Cards, drawing are used to produce components

Setting up tools, offsets etc ready for your own operation to commence and assist Operators where appropriate

Ensuring Delivery Schedule Adherence of parts to system / route card dates

Responsible for ensuring work is completed on time in full to process routing / system date requirements

Setting and Operating CNC Lathe/Mill Machines using Fanuc controls

Programming from print drawings

Ability to work to high standards on tight tolerances

Adhering to quality standards and checking work using a variety of different instruments

Mainly small batch work using a variety of different materials

Skills & Experience.

Experience using CNC Machines with Fanuc controls

Good working knowledge of component dimensions using various inspection equipment - including but not limited to Micrometers, Verniers and Plug Gauges.

Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and Engineering drawings is essential.

Ability to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by internal and external customer specifications.

Excellent problem solving skills

Previous experience in a similar position

Previous aerospace experience

Hours of Work, Remuneration and Benefits

37 hours per week - Monday to Friday, early finish on Friday

Mon -Thu 07:30 a.m. - 16:00 pm., Fri 07:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Competitive hourly rate (up to £16 per hour) - depending on experience

Overtime (when available) paid at time and half.

Annual Leave 25 days + Bank Holidays.
