Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- To operate manual and CNC multi axis machine centers
- Develop new parts in collaboration with NPI teams
- Keep documentation up to date, informing the Team Leader at all times of any issues.
- Ensure you strive to achieve the machine shop’s productivity targets
- Support development to improve skills & flexibility
- Maintain and adhere to all H&S standards and requirements to BS18001
- Willing to undertake any task asked of them by the business
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
- Able to work part of a team and show flexibility
- Experience in programming and operating Fanuc control system experience is required
- Understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
- Experience in modern manufacturing processes
- Experience on process control and quality standards
- Experience in using CMM machines
- Experience in using inspection equipment
- Good problem solving skills
- Strong work ethics
- Good communication skills and time management
- Willing to work overtime when required.
Desirable:
- Knowledge in other CNC turning and milling applications
- Supervisor/team leader experience
- Experience of live tooling and sub-spindle lathes is an advantage
Education and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Ideally educated to BTEC, HND (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
- GCSE (or equivalent) Math’s and English.
This is a full time, permanent position working a 37.5 hour shift, Monday to Friday. You would be on a double-day shift and your hours would be 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm on a weekly rotation.
