Title: CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator

Location: Stonehouse

Salary: 32,000 - 45,000

Working Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:00 am - 04:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Program CNC machines using CAM software to optimise tool paths for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to review and modify CAD/CAM files for production.
• Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards and make necessary adjustments as needed.
• Conduct quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during production.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator.
• Proficiency in programming CNC machines using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM).
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation and setup procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometres, gauges).
• Knowledge of materials and tool selection for various machining processes.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
