CNC Programmer

CNC Programmer Weymouth £30-£36,500 plus overtime Day shift We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Programmer in Weymouth. We're a small manufacturing outfit who primarily work with CNC machining, and we need a programmer who can program, set and operate CNC machining of all types (lathe, miller, turner). The successful candidate will be expected to have a working knowledge of Fanuc, Heidenhain and other controls, be able to write programs from scratch and also optimise existing code, as well as setting and operating various machining centres. We're after someone who can think on their feet, is a confident problem solver and not afraid of a challenge. A big part of the job will be to make sure the machines are running smoothly, so a good eye for detail and the ability to spot problems before they arise is a must. The ideal candidate will: Be a team player and also have the ability to work independently when needed. Have a strong technical understanding of CNC machining disciplines and keep up to date on software and machining techniques. Have experience of setting and operating CNC machining centres. Have a good understanding of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
