• 15.50 to 17.50 per hour (Negotiable and Dependant on experience).
• DAYS ROLE
• Monday to Thursday 07:45am - 16:30pm
• Friday 07:45am - 14:00pm
• Overtime times standard rate.
• 23 days holiday + statutory Bank Holidays.

Alecto Recruitment are now in a working relationship with a highly regarded Precision Engineering company in the Preston area. The client, due to growth and investment are now looking to expand their already highly skilled machining team and are looking for experienced CNC Machinists. Looking for engineers from both capabilities of CNC Milling and CNC Turning to join their state-of-the-art machining shop with outstanding facilities. Manufacturing parts for the Aerospace, Rail, Automotive and Medical sectors of the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC milling / turning machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
• Program, edit, and optimize machine controls using Heidenhain and FANUC.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct quality inspections to verify that parts meet precise tolerances and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop efficient machining strategies and improve production processes.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Milling or CNC Turning Machinist, ideally in a precision engineering environment.
• Proficiency in programming and operating CNC milling machines.
• Strong working knowledge of Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Siemens programming systems
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
