We are currently seeking a talented CNC Turner to join their dynamic team on a Permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities: As a CNC Turner, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacturing process, focusing on small quantity billet workpieces on 18” and 10” chuck CNC Lathes. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Programming, Setting & Operating: Utilize your expertise to efficiently program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC Lathes.
- Tooling: Set tools and produce components to the highest quality standards, selecting the correct tooling for each part.
- Technical Work: Work on highly technical products, adhering to tight tolerances, often without direct supervision.
- Safety: Maintain safe operations by strictly adhering to safety procedures and policies.
- Documentation: Complete necessary daily documents such as time sheets.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in billet work.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Engineering Background: Strong engineering background and understanding.
- Programming Skills: Ability to program at the machine control.
- Quality Control: Ability to inspect your own work to ensure it meets specifications.
- Mazak Knowledge: Proficiency in Mazak programming and experience with CNC Mazak Lathes.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings.
- Precision Work: Capable of working to fine tolerances from +/- 0.01 to +/- 0.25mm.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
- Material Expertise: Experience with cutting a wide range of materials, including steel, stainless, and superalloys.
Working Hours:
- Days: Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:00 & Friday 06:00-12:00.
- Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 14:00-23:25.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: £17- £20 per hour, Depending on Experience, with a 20% Shift Allowance.
- Overtime: 1.5x Standard Rate, Available Most Weeks.
- 4% Pension Scheme.
- 5 Weeks Paid Holiday Plus 8 Bank Holidays.
