Cnc Turner Programmer Operator

We are recruiting a role for an experienced CNC Turner for a well-established Precision Engineering business based in Plymouth.

The role will be to set and operate fixed head machinery, including Miyano’s and a sliding head turning machines.

You will be working on complex parts using a range of materials, to include Brass, cooper, Titanium and more.

Duties:

Write programs for a Sliding Head and Miyano’s Machines.

Read and understand technical drawings and specifications to write the programmes needed to produce the parts (Up to 3" in diameter)

To select and fix correct tooling needed for each job

To manage bar feeder to ensure arcuate work

Use a methodical approach to your work

Experience/Education:

At least 4 years’ experience as a Turner

Ideally have used a Citizen Cimcon sliding Head and or Miyano’s although a strong CNC Turner will still be considered.

Ideally have completed an Apprenticeship but not essential
