SalaryOur well established engineering client based in Glossop, Derbyshire have recently opened an exciting opportunity for skilled CNC Turner programmer/setter/operator to join their expanding team. Vacancies are available for two shift patterns, either 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, or and afternoon/evening shift, 10 hours a day, 4 days
THE ROLE:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC Turning machines, Twin Spindle and Sliding Head Lathes
- Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time
- Finishing components to the highest quality standards
- Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
- Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards
THE CANDIDATE
- Experienced CNC Turner programmer, setter and operator, preferably with experience of operating twin spindle and/or sliding head lathe machines
- Experience of programming FANUC controls will be beneficial
- Qualified through apprenticeship or HND
- Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
- Experience of CMM desirable
- Methodical and focused approach to work
- Focused on quality with high level of attention to detail
THE SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- 14.50 to 19.50 Per Hour
- 9:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday
- 25 Days Plus Bank Holidays
- 40 hours per week
- Permanent contract
