CNC Turner - Programmer/Setter

Are you a skilled CNC Turner looking for a new 4-day a week role in Ely?

We are recruiting for a CNC Turner with expertise in programming, setting, and running CNC machines with Fanuc-based control systems. Based in Ely, this well-established precision engineering business offer a 4-day working week along with many other perks.

Responsibilities:

• Program, set, and operate assigned CNC Mills.
• Ensure accurate production according to drawings and deadlines.
• Complete ERP system tasks and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Uphold compliance with ISO9001 procedures and associated documentation.
• Provide support to team members when required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in programming, setting, and running CNC machines with Fanuc control systems.
• Able to work to tight tolerances.
• Familiarity with Driven Tool, Chuck, and Bar machines in the Turning department.
• Be able to read and understand complex engineering drawings.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven experience in machining with a completed apprenticeship or equivalent.

Hourly rate:

Up to £17.95 per hour

Our client offers a 37.5 hour week - Monday to Thursday:

Monday - Wednesday 07:30 - 17:15 - 9.5 hr day with 15 mins for lunch

Thursday 07:30 - 16:45 - 9.0 hr day with 15 mins for lunch
