TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting for Clinical Nurse Specialist - Perioperative and Periprocedure Care Cover for leading Acute Hospital based in Dublin
This is a Full time Permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of this role is to deliver specialist nursing care in line with the five core concepts set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Current Nurse Specialist (4th edition), National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing & Midwifery (NCNM), 2008. The CNS in Peri-operative/Peri-procedure care will be part of a multidisciplinary team within the hospital responsible for the overall care of patients who attend areas within the hospital who receive general anaesthetic or sedation They will demonstrate a caring competent manner to instil patient confidence and contribute to an environment that is centred on the needs of patients. They will demonstrate an ability to interpret and promote evidence based practice within the field of anaesthesia, as this is a specialised area of nursing which is constantly advancing.
Requirements:
* NMBI Registered
* Formal recognised post-registration education relevant to the area of specialist practice (Anaesthetics) at level 8 (Higher Diploma) according to the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework
* Candidates without the relevant post-graduate level 8 specialist course will be appointed as Clinical Nurse Manager II initially, but must agree to complete within an agreed timeframe
* Demonstrate IT skills
* Demonstrate experience in personal and professional development of staff
* Experience in teaching and assessing
* Eligible to work in Ireland
Essential Experience:
* 5 years post-registration experience in the acute hospital setting within the last 7 years.
* A minimum of 2 years experience in the specialist area - Theatre
Desirable Experience:
* Display evidence of continuing professional development
