An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Coach Builder to join our Fleet Maintenance team on a permanent basis.

Position Details
The role involves having the responsibility for the repair of the bodywork of vehicles using various metalwork techniques to remove dents, repair rusted sections, and fixing panels together, with a requirement to finish the bodywork in a way that matches the rest of the vehicle.
The role also involves drilling, cutting, riveting, bolting and screwing components and parts including steel, aluminium, plastics, GRP and wood materials using hand tools and basic cutting machinery to modify and alter the vehicles and parts.

Please note that it is an essential requirement of the role that applicants are fully qualified as a Panel Beater or Coach Builder, and has a recognised apprenticeship to C&G, Scotvec, or equivalent level.

Contract Details
Weekly Hours: 37 hours per week
Work Pattern: The work pattern for the role is Monday – Friday and includes a mix of dayshifts (8am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday and 8am – 1:30pm on a Friday) and backshifts (1pm – 9:30pm Monday – Thursday and 12noon – 5:30pm on a Friday).
Annual Salary: £28,529.79 - £32,363.72 on an incremental scale
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2,018 and a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £861.
