Our client, located in Flecknoe, is looking to recruit a Coachbuilder to join their family-run business.
This role would suit an experienced candidate, who has a history of experience in vintage/classic car restoration.
In this role, you will be:
- Using all types of metal working equipment such as folders, guillotine, rolls.
- Braze and silver solder
- Doing basic blacksmith work/heat-bending.
- Producing double curvature panels using an English wheel
- Gas and TIG welding of steel and aluminium
Background & Skill:
- Experience working with steel, brass, copper, and aluminium
- Ability to use all types of metal working equipment such as folders, guillotine, rolls
- Ability to braze and silver solder
- Proficient in hot/cold riveting
- Capable of basic blacksmith work, heat-bending etc
- Good understanding of automotive engineering and the capability to carry out mechanical work
- Experience with woodworking would beneficial
- Experience with manual machining, using lathes and milling machines would be beneficial
