Job description

South Hampstead High School, the 2022 Independent Girls’ School of the Year, is looking for a passionate and experienced coder to join our STEM department as Coder in Residence.

In this exciting and dynamic role, you will help ignite a love for coding and technology in our young learners. This will involve leading engaging coding sessions that encourages pupils to experiment, problem-solve and think critically. Where necessary, you'll provide personalised coaching to pupils, tailoring your approach to the individual needs and learning styles of our students.

This is a one-year post that would suit someone who is currently undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate study in a subject area relevant to Computer Science, Maths or other STEM areas. You will be proficient in Python and block-based programming (e.g. Scratch) and will pair this with strong coaching and communication skills.
