Coffee Shop Assistant

The hub coffee bar is looking for a Shop Assistant to join our team in Belfast.

We are a family-owned business that prides itself on providing the highest quality of service to our customers. We are looking for a team member who is dedicated to providing the highest quality of food and hospitality to our customers, and is willing to learn the skills needed to do so.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers as they enter and provide assistance throughout their visit.
• Answer questions about menu items, delivery, or other items on the menu.
• Take orders via computer or hand-written paper order slips.
• Assist in keeping the shop, parking lot, and front desk clean and orderly at all times.
• Assist with restocking inventory when necessary.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the premises, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows, tables, counters, and equipment as needed.
• Perform opening and closing tasks as scheduled for both front and back end operations.
• Practice good housekeeping skills at all times within the premises and outside of work-area to help maintain a clean and sanitary environment for others and ourselves.

We are looking for a team member who is organized, punctual, has good customer service skills, is dependable, and is able to follow instructions. The right candidate will be able to keep organized in a fast paced environment, be able to work independently with little supervision when needed, have good communication skills when interacting with co-workers as well as customers, and will be able to follow all safety rules and procedures.

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Every weekend
• Weekend availability
• Weekends only

Experience:

• Catering: 1 year (preferred)
• Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
• Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
