About Us
The post of Collaborative Engagement and Retention Team Coordinator is based within the Collaborative Engagement and Retention Team in the Centre for Student and Community Engagement (CenSCE). This department aims to increase the number of people from disadvantaged or under-represented backgrounds accessing and succeeding at university.
We take a ‘whole educational journey’ approach to this. An education is a journey that flows through interlocking phases, drawing on a wider set of resources: friends, carers, teachers, clubs, organisations. The journey therefore requires engagement with schools, colleges, extra-curricular activities and broader society.
CenSCE focuses on facilitating that engagement throughout the whole journey, from early years to graduation from university.
The Collaborative Engagement and Retention Team (CERT), based within the Centre for Student and Community Engagement (CenSCE), works in partnership with Academic Schools, Professional Services, and the Students’ Union to design, develop and implement interventions that enhance the engagement, retention, and progression of students at Nottingham Trent University. Examples of the work that the team lead include Student Mentoring and The Black Leadership Programme.
For any informal queries about the role or the CenSCE team, please contact Reuel Blair (CERT Manager) reuel.blair@ntu.ac.uk.
