Job description

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is seeking a Collections Care Assistant to join its Collections department to support the delivery of Collections Care activities at the Shakespeare family homes and collections stores.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team on a full-time permanent contract. This is a development role, we would therefore welcome applications from candidates with no previous experience of working directly with museum collections.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing access to collections through the Trust's exhibitions programme and displays in the Shakespeare family homes. The ideal candidate will have an appreciation and interest in Collections Care and a willingness to develop new skills. They will also be able to demonstrate an interest in the historic properties of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Trust’s collections.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 3 March 2024, and interviews will take place on Thursday 21 March 2024 in-person in Stratford-upon-Avon.
