Carrot Recruitment are partnering with a national leader in introduction of innovative and high quality healthcare products and Medical Devices to healthcare professionals, industry and pharmacy supply chain partners across the UK. Our client has a focus on Stoma care, Urology and Wound Care. As such, they are looking to appoint a new Colorectal Nurse for their team based in Leicester.
To be considered for this role you must have a valid NMC reigstration.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin
- Colorectal or Stoma experience or specialist knowledge essential
- Motivated and forward-thinking individual with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise care and use initiative within a team and as an individual, seeking support as required
- Evidence of self-development and service improvement and a desire to continue this
Main responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- This role reports to the Colorectal Nurse Manager, delivering safe and patient centred services whilst meeting national, regional and local requirements.
- Provide clinical expertise to the specialist area of colorectal cancer and colorectal disease.
- This will include meeting medical, physical, and emotional needs by effectively communicating with the patient and their families whilst ensuring they are cared for in a safe and comfortable environment.
- You will utilise specialist skills including Stoma care, preoperative and post operative care along with advanced communication and management of complex patients and support others towards the same.
- Ability to interrogate data and formulate advice, plans of action and reports
