Role Overview

This 18 month Fixed Term Contract role will be instrumental in the strategic and operational Commercial and Contract management of Nest's complex outsourcing contracts. This will cover a wide range of activities including providing subject matter expertise to key stakeholders, using external market insights to support Nest's goals, ensuring we have the correct processes, controls and strategic frameworks in place to best manage Nest's outsourcing contracts.

On the day to day the role will be working with internal and external stakeholders to efficiently resolve commercial issues, provide contract guidance and manage the day-to-day contract operations.

The role will also be key in projects to shape our team for the future, working on producing commercial strategies and best practice policies.

Directorate/Department Overview
This role sits within the Commercial & Contract Management Team at Nest. This team has a Nest wide remit to provide strategic advisory and operational Commercial and Contract management to help deliver outstanding and innovative services to our members.The team’s primary focus is on Nest’s complex outsourcing contracts e.g. for the provision of the scheme administration within Nest Experience and provision of the fund administration services within Nest Invest.

The team is responsible for the commercial/contract management aspects in:
›           the ongoing operational services delivered under our two most significant and complex outsourcing contracts;
›           the transition and implementation period of new services to be provided;
›           the commercial due diligence, design,  and verification required for large scale service contracts.
The bulk of the Corporation’s expenditure is with external suppliers. The spend on complex outsourcing contracts is the largest part of this cost category and will continue to grow and be important as Nest expands. The scale and complexity of the Commercial and Contract activities at Nest is challenging and requires high quality staff with the relevant experience and expertise.
