Job description

Working within the HR Team to provide generalist HR administration support to the department with a particular focus on uploading and maintaining data to the new HR System, acting as one of a group of Superusers for the system.

  • Data input and maintenance of data from paper files to the newly introduced HR system.
  • Ensure accurate and timely inputting of date onto the HR system, including, new starters, leavers, amendments, maternity, paternity, absence, annual leave, required certificates and other documents as defined.
  • Maintaining accurate records and information of data.
  • Assist with the digitisation of HR records, including information held in paper files.
  • Work accurately and efficiently both as part of a team or unsupervised, prioritising own work and meeting deadlines as set.
  • Preparation of relevant HR documents under guidance from senior members of the team.
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date HR spreadsheets.
  • To communicate sensitively with a wide range of people.
  • To maintain information in a confidential manner, following data protection regulations and ensuring compliance with GDPR.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as defined by Line Manager or appointed deputy.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet the entry requirements of the relevant modern apprenticeship programme.
  • Educated to at least standard grade with 5 passes including English and Maths.
  • Good IT skills, ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Work, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills in order to manage conflicting deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in person, by phone and email.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • A friendly and professional manner.
  • Driven and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well within an established team.
  • Able to prioritise and organise own workload.
  • Able to work on own initiative, sometimes working under pressure and to tight deadlines
