HAZARDOUS WASTE SCETOR EXPERIENCED INDIVIDUAL REQUIRED FOR A FAST-PACED, OFFICE-BASED ROLE QUOTING FOR THE COLLECTION OF HAZARDOUS WASTE MATERIAL

TITLE: Commercial Chemist – Hazardous Waste 

SALARY: £27-31,000 DOE 

LOCATION: NW Birmingham

You may have worked in the Hazardous waste sector as a: Site Chemist, Reception chemist, Laboratory Chemist, Shift Chemist; or have a Chemistry qualification (HNC or above) and have worked in a business to business role. 

ROLE: Commercial Chemist – Hazardous Waste 

Working under the supervision of the Commercial Manager.
Delivering excellent customer service to existing and potential clients. 
Collecting enough information from clients before giving them a price. 
Applying technical expertise to evaluate waste and select the most appropriate disposal options for different types of waste. 
Requesting quotes from compliant disposal facilities to get the best disposal prices for waste. 
Calculating costs accurately according to all permit conditions and regulations. 
Generating precise and prompt quotes on Quick Consign System and sending them to clients. 
Assisting with all aspects of client quotes and inquiries via email and phone. 
Bidding on client tenders. 
Coordinating with operations on specific key account needs. 
Creating monthly reports for key accounts. 
Identifying new business opportunities. 
Marketing the company and building networks on various social media platforms. Completing WM3 training. 
Learning about Sector Guidance Note S5.06 and Appropriate Measures legislation in depth. 
Staying updated with new regulations to ensure company compliance. 
Developing a high level of commercial awareness.
