Job description

Stride Resource Management are recruiting for a Commercial Claims Handler to work for our client in the Worcestershire Area. Our client is a Chartered Insurance Broker that consistently aim to deliver outstanding service to clients and an enjoyable working environment for their staff.

The key aspects of this position are the administration of client’s insurance claims, including providing advice to clients on the claims process, issuing and administering claims forms whilst chasing insurers, underwriters and loss adjusters for settlement. This role is offering a Salary of upto £30,000 (Depending on Experience) 

Key to this role will be your ability to provide technical claims advice and support to the Insurance sales executives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner.

• Responsible for own case load from notification to settlement including providing advice on whether a claim is covered.

• Proactive in achieving claims settlement, monitoring progress on outstanding claims and pushing for resolution.

• Provide timely and accurate feedback to clients.

• Proactively report issues to Account Executive so they are aware of any matters which may affect the client relationship

• Liaise with insurers, underwriters, loss adjusters and other third parties regarding the administration of claims.

• Provide technical and administrative support to the directors and sales executives.

• Prepare claims reports to support the insurance sales executive on request.

Your Experience:

• General insurance claims experience essential

• In-depth understanding of general insurance products

• Inter personal skills – Ability to build successful, mutually beneficial business relationships

• Negotiation skills – Proactively negotiate politely but assertively for claims settlement

• Communication skills – Able to communicate to people with various levels of knowledge face to face, over the telephone and in writing.

• Planning, organisational and time management skills

• Problem solving

• Computer literate and thorough understanding of Company software

• Report writing
