SalaryWe are working with a Local Authority in the Bedfordshire Region looking for a Commercial Contracts Locum Lawyer to join their department for an initial 3-month period.
The successful candidate must be UK qualified and have upwards of 12 months’ experience in:
• Commercial contracts matters
• Public procurement matters
Expertise in dealing with a wide range of contracts including:
• JCT building contracts
• NEC and general building contracts
• Construction Law matters
• Contracts for goods and services
• Contractual disputes
• Providing general advice
• Negotiating and drafting agreements
• Large scale development projects
• Joint venture, partnerships, SPVs
You will need to have experience of handling your own legal caseload which will include complex matters.
Pay rate is between £40-55 per hour.
This is a full – time position with the council operating on a flexible working environment.
Previous Contracts and Procurement legal experience in a local authority is essential.
The local authority is looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible. Due to the urgent nature of the role, we are looking to speak to candidates available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice.
