Our relatively small but dynamic Commercial Excellence Team is dedicated to enhancing commercial performance across all areas of PwC's business. We support the firm's commercial strategy by focusing on:
- commercial negotiation and deal support
- Partner and Line of Service (LoS) commercial upskilling
- commercial optimization projects
About the Role:
As a member of our Team, you will play a crucial role in the followingactivities:
- Providing strategic commercial guidance and support to Partners and bid teams for large or commercially complex bids
- Negotiating framework rate cards and commercial incentives at a client account level
- Development of progressive pricing strategies for new product and service propositions
- Improving commercial diligence in business as usual decisions
- Developing the commercial acumen of our people through hands on collaboration and identification of skills gaps and training requirements to maximise commercial performance (e.g. negotiation skills, contingent fee modelling, technology pricing models)
- Identifying and sharing success stories across the firm to showcase our best commercial behaviours
- Contributing to the development of a commercial centre of excellence for our people
About You:
As a Commercial Excellence Senior Manager, you should be a self-starter with strong business acumen, good commercial awareness, curiosity and strong written and verbal communications skills. Your influencing skills and ability to work across varying levels of seniority will be key to your success. You thrive in dynamic and diverse environments and are comfortable with ambiguity.
This role offers high visibility and collaboration, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with Senior Partners and our Sales Teams. You will gain a broad understanding of the commercial performance of the entire firm.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven expertise in commercial pricing and deal shaping, including building bespoke and complex commercial models
- Highly desirable: technology pricing expertise
- A solid background in commercial contracting principles
- Experience working closely with and negotiating with Client Procurement teams
- Experience in managing both Private and Public Procurement processes (highly desirable)
- Strong financial, business, and commercial acumen
- An ability to challenge and influence a range of stakeholders in a commercial environment
- A good understanding of the profit and loss statement (desirable)
