Commercial Finance Manager

Commercial Finance Manager, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire (Hybrid working)
£60- £65kpa plus great benefits including a bonus
Our client, an entrepreneurial business who have grown considerably over the last few years, are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This role is responsible for leading the development of the finance power BI system, provide data, insights and reporting across the business, and consolidating and understanding Global EBITDA forecasts.
Key Duties:-
Power BI
* Be the finance subject matter expert for Power BI application, data and reporting
* Develop and execute a roadmap to ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability
* Assess how to enrich Power BI with additional internal and external data sources
* Develop and execute an improvements roadmap on Commercial Finance reporting
* Create clear, usable and insightful visualisations to communicate data and trends to non-technical stakeholders
* Develop and maintain dashboards for commercial and finance as stakeholders
* Create and maintain best practise guidelines for wider finance team on how to use and present data in power BI
* Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in Power BI.
Data Analysis
* Identify and solve data related problems to support informed decision making
* Perform data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and outliers in the data
* Standardise data formats and structures for analysis and rollout to finance team
* Work with stakeholders to understand the story behind the data and findings
* Create presentations to share findings and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders
Forecasting
* Work with finance and other departments to create, manage and communicate budget and 5 year plan timetables and deliverables
* Identify, communicate and escalate any risks to delivery of plans
* Create models to manage EBITDA consolidation, reporting and insight
* Regularly compare actuals vs. forecast and understand variances providing management commentary
* Support in creating board presentations for full year forecasts
The successful candidate will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualified with demonstrable experience working in Commercial Finance or FP&A. Ideally you will have PowerBI knowledge and experience of handling large data sets.
