SalaryTSR are looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer based around the Peterborough area to cover a range of contracts between the West Mids and South East of England.
We are looking for candidates who are happy to travel to various sites across the above listed area and occasionally further afield.
Our client has the maintenance contract for over 600 Aldi stores (covered by engineers regionally), as well as courthouses, medical centers, and numerous other commercial contracts for large-scale clients.
Basic Salary: 42,000 - 44,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications. Paid Monthly and based on a 40 hour working week with uncapped overtime - lots of overtime available (paid at Time & Half door-to-door, double time Sundays) and we are looking for candidates who are willing to do this on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and repairs to Gas appliances including AHU's, water heaters, Warm Air Heaters, Radiant tubes and boilers in commercial and industrial buildings.
- GAS PPM's and maintenance, Testing and Purging
- FM / Maintenance
- Commercial experience preferred as works are none domestic
- Installation/repair of heating pipework, pumps, water heaters, calorifiers
- Experience of crimping, soldering and pipework installations up to 4"
- Working predominantly on sites in Yorkshire and Midlands.
- Must be happy with traveling to sites and some time working away if necessary
- Work with our CAFM system Job Logic to take and receive jobs and submit job reports and surveys.
- Must happy using a tablet and competing test certs and paperwork.
Qualifications
- Commercial Gas Tickets
- (CSCS Card)
- Full driving Licence
- Asbestos awareness required but not essential as training can be provided.
Qualities:
- Hard working driven individual wanting to work in a fast paced environment delivering commercial and industrial projects and maintenance contracts.
- Must be happy travelling around multiple sites with occasional requirement to work away if needed.
- Happy being included on a Call out Rota

Standard hours are 8:00 - 4:30 (1 hour unpaid travel per day and 1/2 hour lunch break)
