Job Description
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems in commercial properties. Your role will ensure that all gas systems are functioning safely and efficiently, providing our clients with reliable and compliant service.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation: Install Commercial Gas systems and appliances according to specifications and regulations.
- Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks, servicing boilers, heaters, and other gas appliances to ensure optimal performance.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults in gas systems, ensuring timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
- Testing: Perform safety and performance tests on gas systems and appliances, documenting results and addressing any issues found.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency call-outs, providing efficient and safe resolutions.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients to understand their needs, provide professional advice, and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and compliance certificates.
Qualifications and Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Extensive understanding of Commercial Gas systems and appliances.
- Certification: Relevant qualifications such as Gas Safe registration (formerly CORGI) are mandatory.
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of working on Commercial Gas systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in installation, maintenance, and repairs to ensure system efficiency and safety.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical tasks and work in various environments, including confined spaces.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility: Willingness to be on-call for emergency responses and to work flexible hours as needed.
