What is the Role?

We're looking for graduates who can bring fresh ideas, new skills and creative thinking, to deliver innovative solutions to help us reach net zero. SSEN Our Graduate Programme provides real hands-on experience of the Commercial or Business roles within SSEN and includes different business wide project and team interactions including; Business Assurance, Regulatory, Project Services, supporting our Field Operations, operational support and Quantity Surveying teams. Throughout the 2-year programme, you will have the support of our Graduate Programme Manager and a dedicated Business Manager, who will provide guidance and support to enable you to reach your full potential. You will also be aligned to a subject matter mentor aligned to your specialism.
SSEN Our graduates work collaboratively in a variety of contexts, while also taking ownership and responsibility for maximising opportunities to contribute to the business and drive their own personal development within their specialism. You will have the opportunity to gain experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams on a wide range of complex issues, to challenge yourself in dealing first hand with real life scenarios.
A key principle of the Graduate Programme is continuous professional development and SSE has built a learning culture where value is placed on learnings that go beyond the immediate task. The programme will support your career development into a permanent role with SSE that reflects your experience, passion and specialism.

You’ll ideally have a minimum of a 2:2 in one of the following degree disciplines: Business, Economics, Project Management, Legal, Finance.
As the organisations grows and becomes more international, our graduates need to be highly flexible in order to embrace the changes and keep up with the fast-paced evolution of the business. Our graduates are agile in their thinking and seek to address knowledge gaps. You should be comfortable working to and setting stretching individual targets and using your own initiative to overcome challenges.
