The firm

A recognised top tier firm in Brighton is looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join their dynamic Chambers and Legal 500 ranked commercial disputes team, specialising in Commercial Litigation, IP and technology disputes. They are a full serviced firm dedicated to supporting clients and they continue to maintain their focus on building long term relationships with clients to help deliver their goals and objectives. The role

They are looking for a 3-7PQE Commercial Litigation lawyer to join their dynamic Chambers and Legal 500 ranked commercial disputes team, specialising in Commercial Litigation, IP and technology disputes. The workload includes, IP disputes, IT disputes, data protection, freedom of information, competition law, OFT investigations, procurement, regulatory advice and commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Be responsible, under partner-supervision, for your own caseload and revenue targets.
  • Be working as an effective member of the fee-earner team on larger matters.
  • Deliver a first-class client experience at all times.
  • Assist in the Group's business development activity in a matter to suit your proven strengths.
  • Delegate to and supervise work done by the group paralegal / trainee solicitor resource as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Be a qualified solicitor or legal executive with a minimum of 3 years PQE in Commercial Law.
  • You will have proven experience of Commercial Dispute Resolution work, possibly from an in-house perspective. IP and/or technology experience preferable.
  • A working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules is essential.
  • Able to effectively manage your time to achieve client and internal deadlines.
  • You will be expected to deliver first-class client care and have the ability to deal with a wide range of clients differing objectives.
  • Able to work within a team and provide support to other fee-earners as appropriate.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Ability to draft documentation, with attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients both in writing and verbally.
  • Convey technical legal information in an effective and accessible way.
