Top Tier International firm is looking to recruit an experienced Tax Litigation Solicitor in to its Birmingham Team.
The Team
This well renowned team advise high profile clients across all types of disputes across the whole of the tax system. This ranges from acting for FTSE 100 companies in complex cross-border matters through to assisting HNW and UHNW private individuals.
The team's work mix includes disclosures to HMRC, civil enquiries, criminal enquiries, litigation before the tax tribunals, professional negligence actions and restitution, rectification and rescission claims before the High Court and non-UK courts.
The Role
The role will involve working across a busy and profitable contentious tax practice but the majority of time to be spent on tax professional negligence claims. The work mix will also include working on:
- related commercial disputes
- rescission and rectification claims
- Judicial Review of HMRC actions
- Part 8 claims against HMRC
The Candidate
- UK qualified lawyer between 6-8 years' PQE
- Hold a solid understanding and experience of tax professional negligence claims gained in a recognised team
