The Serious Fraud Office is partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell to recruit Commercial Manager x2 vacancies on a permanent, full-time basis. The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) is a specialist prosecuting authority tackling top level serious or complex fraud, bribery and corruption.
We are looking for someone with the desire to gain, or holds existing experience of procurement, stakeholder management, contract negotiation and supplier management, to provide support to deliver the procurement of a wide range of goods and services that meet the departments’ requirements and provides value for money. You will need to ensure procurement activities are aligned with relevant departmental or Cabinet Office priorities/strategies, acting in accordance with Cabinet Office and EU procurement rules.
The key responsibilities will be to:
- Understand and support strategic procurement activities to contribute towards the department’s overall objectives.
- Provide general support to case teams with the preparation of business cases, specifications, tender documents, and evaluation of tenders. Drafting initial framework call-off contract terms, contract award, publishing contract awards.
- Use and follow procurement systems and processes in an effective and efficient way. Highlight issues and draft updates and guidance when necessary.
- Build relationships with individual suppliers to ensure that SFO’s on-going requirements are met, and contract specifications are adhered to.
- Undertake all procurement activity for goods and services, and being mindful of the legal and commercial risk.
- Assist with the management of all central commercial contracts. Ensuring that suppliers and their supply chain meet their contractual obligations.
- Assist with the development of the SFO’s contracts database. Input accurate and relevant contract information in order to provide accurate management information and give stakeholders advance notice of expiry and retendering requirements.
The organisation:
The Serious Fraud Office investigates and prosecutes serious or complex fraud, bribery and corruption. We take on a small number of large economic crime cases and pursue criminals for the financial benefit they have made from their crimes and assist overseas jurisdictions with their investigations into serious and complex fraud, bribery and corruption cases.
The successful candidate will:
- Have extensive experience working within an administrative position and show a keen desire to expand their skillset or be educated to a degree level and be looking to launch their career in an exciting organisation
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to independently analyse information
- Be a keen and quick learner, who strives to complete work to the best of their ability
- Have the desire to qualify through the Chartered Institute of Procurement Supply (CIPS)
The role will be based at our offices at 2-4 Cockspur Street, London, SW1Y 5BS, in central London, however, please note that we are due to move to Canary Wharf in 2024. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. We are operating hybrid working arrangements that require staff to be in Cockspur Street 40% of their working pattern.
