Location: Watford and travel to the surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (on site 8.30am; off site 4.30pm) - be available for call out rota (1 week in 6)

Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual, passionate about delivering high-quality service and contributing to the success of their business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Carrying out breakdowns, repairs, & servicing for the electrical equipment on site for customers.
• Help provide support where required on electrical jobs.
• Ensure all health & safety requirements & legislations including risk assessments, safe systems, COSHH records, are adhered to.
• Obtain materials quotation from suppliers & provide to the quotes team along with the labour required to complete all repairs.
• Clearly communicating with customers to provide reassurance and sharing your knowledge.
• Taking part in the call out rota, you will help provide an out of hours service for emergencies.
• Working as part of a national team you will provide technical support over the phone to other team members when necessary.
• Use our XOI system on all jobs to provide photos & videos to explain issues & outcomes so our customer is fully informed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, always leaving site clean & tidy.
• You will be great at building a rapport with customers and building your knowledge of sites for future reference.
• You will own your own hand tools; we will provide you the rest for the work to be carried out.
• Working with the planning team to make sure we are being efficient with route travel.

Targets:

• Maintain air con systems to a healthy indoor quality level – maintaining the appropriate temperature, humidity, & ventilation parameters.
• On breakdowns/Call outs – achieve a 80% first time fix rate. Keeping customer service levels to a high standard.
• Produce quotes on a job or within 24 hours of being on site to allow the quotes team to hit the 72 hours turnaround time.
• XOI videos to be produced on all call outs, repairs & a sample of PPM visits.
• Explain to clients the action taken on site, to keep the customer informed.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out to a high standard and all notes are completed. Ensure all assets have notes and call outs are clear & concise for invoicing the jobs.

Our Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the Air Conditioning and ventilation role.
• Cat 1 F Gas qualified.
• Other multi skilled qualifications welcome but not essential.
• City & Guild level 2 or 3 in Air conditioning.
• IPAF/Pasma card.
• Experience with Multi heat recovery systems, VRVs, VRFs, Splits Controls & AHUs.
• Background of fault finding/service work or installation.
• UK Full Driving licence is essential.
