Commercial Operations Manager

This is truly an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience within Operations Management and is looking for the next step in their career. Our client has been established for over 30 years and has continued to grow their business year on year, in turnover, profit and staff numbers (approx 450 across the UK)

As the Commercial Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing our Commercial Operations functions to ensure the delivery of exceptional services to our clients. Collaborating closely with our Field Operations Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring Health & Safety compliance, evaluating and implementing operational procedures, guiding the training and development of our team, and adopting a forward-thinking approach to address future demands and opportunities in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To set, review and maintain operational processes and procedures required for the compliant and efficient running of the operation.
  • To oversee the Health & Safety functions of our business - review and implement appropriate processes and training programmes.
  • To lead the coaching and development of our management team, implementing and demonstrating appropriate programmes and succession plans.
  • The ability to recruit, train and manage key staff, directing and reviewing performance as appropriate.
  • Nurture and maintain close working relations with our key clients.
  • Monitor and maintain budgets to deliver best value within set targets.
  • Be a key contributor and communicator within the senior director/management team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ability to lead, train and motivate a team to achieve business objectives, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements to ensure operations adhere to legal standards and mitigate risks.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions that drive commercial success.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable using technology and software tools for data analysis, project management, and communication purposes.
