Position/Title: Commercial Painter

Hours: Mon-Fri

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000

My client is looking for an experienced painter and decorator to join their team on a prestigious pharmaceutical contract. This role is predominantly focused on painting but they're looking for a candidate with the ability to assist other engineers and general maintenance on site.

Purpose/Main Functions of Position:

• Painting and decorating
• To respond to and undertake reactive works in a safe and efficient manager in accordance with legislative and contractual obligations
• Ensuring that records of work are sufficiently detailed, accurate and kept up to date Key

Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Predominantly painting and decorating
• Day to day fabric repairs, in and around the client's buildings
• Assist co-workers during busy periods, or where two person operations are required
• Adhere to both client and company procedures and policies, risk assessments and method statements
• Ensure reactive and planned tasks are completed within a timely manner
• Close out planned and reactive works via clients systems, Service now and EAM
• Ensure a professional image is presented to clients and end users, exhibiting high levels of customer service in the delivery of work
• In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to carry out such other duties as may be required and as may be assigned by senior management from time to time

Skills, Knowledge and Competencies Required:

• Fully conversant with Painting fabric repairs and maintenance
• Having worked in the industry for a minimum of 2 years
• Having a basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance
• Excellent customer facing skills

Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Competencies Required:

• Experience of maintaining the fabric of a building within a commercial environment
• IOSH working safely
• Awareness of working in a safe manner with regard to safety of others

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of C + G painting and decorating, carpentry or equivalent
