We are actively seeking an experienced Commercial Performance Manager to join our forward thinking and dynamic Commercial Team here at 2gether Support Solutions.
Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 per annum, dependant on experience
2gether Support Solutions provides facilities, property, procurement and professional services to the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of the Trust, which is one of the largest in the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to expand their expertise and gain valuable exposure to the senior leadership team along with having oversight of a significant public sector contract.
We are open to the main base location for the successful candidate (Folkestone, Ashford, Canterbury) which includes the requirement for occasional travel between our sites, we also have a flexible hybrid working arrangement on offer too.
As Commercial Performance Manager you will lead on the performance reporting and assurance around all aspects of 2gether’s outsourced contracts with the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
Being the key point of contact for all adhoc services you will lead transactional ownership for the end of month allocation and reconciliation of recharges for the various departments within 2gether Support Solutions. In addition you will be responsible with ensuring that 2gether’s outsourced contracts for Waste are monitored and reported upon on a monthly basis including the reconciliation of financial accounts covering all aspects of Waste Management and performance reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the collation and preparation of monthly recharges and invoicing (including the preparation of financial back-up data), to the Trust or other third-party organisations;
- Lead on the provision of performance analysis, associated with external contracts the Trust and the Waste contracts in general including the production and reviewing of monthly performance reports;
- Work closely with senior leadership team, site-based stakeholders, external suppliers, providers and agencies, to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of end of month recharges.
- Accountable for producing user friendly performance reports in a timely manner which will include the sense checking and analysis of complex demand and capacity data;
- Lead on the annual collation of ERIC data on behalf of the department.
- Lead on production of essential trend analysis and benchmarking data that support the delivery of Value for Money VFM), services and that would stand up to external scrutiny. This also supports the development of 2gether’s operating model for each service;
- Accountable for reviewing year on year operational performance and in formulating priority action plans / initiatives in line with the Company and Business Unit’s financial targets and budgetary commitments for specific service areas;
- Lead on reviewing business cases to ensure all operational and contractual obligations (including lifecycle costs), have been considered in respect of 2gether’s services;
- Responsible for seeking out new and innovative ways of delivering better services and year on year cost efficiencies.
The experience & skills we are looking for:
- The ability to analyse service performance against contractual agreements.
- To be able to analyse and interpret complex and multi-faceted data.
- Produce clear and concise reports and other written communications on complex issues and communicate in a variety of styles and to tailor these to suit the needs of the audience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels using tact and diplomacy to achieve results.
- At least 3 years proven track record in contract performance and delivery role of large multi-disciplinary services.
- The administration and financial accounting against pre-set guidelines and targets.
- Proven exposure to commercial operations and ability to demonstrate delivery of innovative solutions through good business know how and acumen
- Project management experience.
- Advanced knowledge/skills using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Educated to Degree or Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) level or equivalent qualification
It would also be beneficial if you had the following:
- Understanding of working within a fast paced NHS environment, structures and processes.
- Risk management and auditing experience .
- Experience working within a FM environment
- Work related experience in relation to waste management and disposal
- Evidence of additional personal development within a commercial environment.
- Recognised project management accreditation (e.g. Prince2)
